Last week I had the opportunity to share Caterpillar’s eBusiness Transformation strategy at the IBM Connect 2013 conference in Orlando, FL. The Connect conference is the next progression of Lotusphere and reached 20 years and about 5000 participants this year with a theme of “Get social. Do business.” There were two main tracks under this “social business” umbrella: Creating a smarter workforce, and creating an exceptional customer experience. For my part, I relayed Caterpillar’s efforts at creating exceptional experiences, especially online, at Monday’s opening session and then at a breakout session later in the day.
